Food Skills Cymru supports businesses within the Welsh food and drink processing and manufacturing industry
Food Skills Cymru supports businesses within the Welsh food and drink processing and manufacturing industry to ensure employees have the right skills and training to strengthen the industry as a whole.
They can support training courses from food safety and legislation, health and safety, engineering, marketing, auditing, export, finance and management, the list is endless. They can also support bespoke training courses to suit the business needs so that employees get the most out of tailor made courses.
Depending on the size of the business, they can support up to 80% of the course costs. Better still, as a business, you only pay a contribution of the course cost, as it is the Training Provider that claims the funding from Food Skills Cymru upon completion of the training course.
Eligible businesses wanting to access support from the programme will enter by completing a Skills Diagnostic with a member of the Food Skills Cymru team. This will help the business identify any skills gaps and implement a bespoke training plan. Businesses will then be able to submit funding applications to help support with the cost of completing any training courses.
